Taxi from central Stockholm to Arlanda Airport

Going out to Arlanda is a timing question rather than a distance one. The drive is the same 35–45 minutes, but the decision that matters is when to leave — early enough for check-in and security, late enough that you are not sitting at the gate for two hours.

We suggest the pickup time, you confirm it

Send the flight number and your address. We reply with a recommended pickup time and the reasoning behind it, including the traffic pattern for that hour and any roadworks we know about on the route. Nothing is fixed until you approve it.

Very early departures are common from Stockholm. Pickups before 05:00 are confirmed the evening before, so no one is waiting on a message at dawn to find out whether the car is coming.

The right terminal, first time

Your airline decides the terminal, and Arlanda's terminals are several minutes apart on foot. We take the terminal from the flight number and drop you at that entrance rather than at a general kerb, which is the difference between a two-minute walk and a shuttle ride with luggage.

If you are checking in sports equipment, an instrument or a pram, mention it when you request the transfer so the right vehicle is assigned rather than discovered on the pavement.

Hotel, office and multi-stop departures

Hotel doors, office addresses, a colleague collected on the way or a short stop to return keys are all workable when they are part of the request. Each stop is priced into the agreed total instead of appearing afterwards.

Travel managers and agencies can arrange several departures on one email thread and receive a separate reference per traveller.

When the train is the better call

If you are leaving alone from a hotel near Central Station in the middle of the day, the Arlanda Express is quick, frequent and unaffected by traffic. The reasons to take a car are luggage, an early or late departure, a group sharing one fare, or an address that would need a metro change before the train even starts.

How early should the taxi collect me for a flight from Arlanda?

As a rule, three hours before a long-haul departure and two before a Schengen flight, plus driving time. Send the flight number and we suggest an exact time with the reasoning behind it.

Can I book a return with my arrival transfer?

Yes. Both directions can be arranged in one request, and the return already has your address, passenger count and luggage details on file.

What happens if my departure is moved or cancelled?

Tell us as soon as you know and we move the pickup to the new time. A cancelled trip is cancelled without cost as long as the car has not already been dispatched.
