Honestly, not always. If you are travelling alone with hand luggage and the station is your final stop, the train is quick and cheap. A private transfer is the better choice with luggage, with children, in a group, or when the station is not where you actually finish.

Where the driver meets you

The driver meets you inside arrivals with your name and takes the luggage to the car.

At Central Station the car stops on the taxi side rather than in the tunnel traffic, which is the shortest walk to the main hall and the lifts down to the platforms.

Traffic worth knowing about

The approach to Central Station is the busiest part of this journey. In the afternoon peak the last kilometre can take as long as several before it, so for a tight train connection we plan the pickup earlier rather than driving faster.

Luggage and vehicle

The station has no long walk if the car stops in the right place, but there are stairs on some routes to the platforms. Mention prams, ski bags or oversized cases so the vehicle and the stopping point suit them.

Going back to Arlanda

Arriving at the station by train and continuing to the airport by car works the same way in reverse. Give us the train arrival and we will meet it, allowing for the walk out of the hall.
